Michael Jordan donned the number #23 Chicago Bulls jersey for the better part of thirteen seasons.
Wearing the number #23 Jordan became one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball.
The number #23 in sports has become synonymous with Michael Jordan.
Michael Jordan’s #23 was so popular during his career that on February 14, 1990, a thief stole his game jersey from the Orlando Magic visitors’ locker room.
At that point the Chicago Bulls did not carry additional jerseys for their players.
Thus, Jordan was forced to wear a nameless number #12 jersey that night.
The next game Jordan was back to wearing his iconic jersey number.
Three seasons later, Michael Jordan briefly retired from the game of basketball in 1993, but returned in March of 1995, wearing the number #45.
After the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals that season, Jordan returned to his iconic number for the remainder of his career.
This ten image jersey collage pays homage to the three Chicago Bulls jersey numbers he wore during his playing career.
Jordan’s black paint pen signature on this limited edition (123) 36 x 18 image has been deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Authentication Process.
